About the MBF

The Members Benevolent Fund (MBF) is a registered charity that is closely connected, but independent from, the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and the CSP Charitable Trust.

Registered charity No. 219568

The MBF helps past and present members of the CSP who are experiencing financial difficulty through misfortune.  This may occur for a variety of reasons: as a result of accident, serious illness, relationship breakdowns or other traumatic events.

The MBF aims to ensure that all CSP members working in the profession are aware of where they can go for help should they, or a colleague, experience difficulties, and to provide high quality support for those who seek assistance.

Where possible, we try to enable those we help to become independent and self-sufficient again, but also maintain longer term support for those not able to do this because of age, ill health or disability.

In 2018 we began to work with an external company – Auriga Services Ltd – and by working in partnership we are able to offer better help and support for our applicants.
