About the MBF

The Members Benevolent Fund (MBF) is a registered charity which supports past and present members of the CSP who are experiencing financial difficulty or hardship.

Registered charity No. 219568

The MBF is independent from the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, governed by its own Board of Trustees,  but the two organisations maintain close connections for the benefit of members.

The MBF helps past and present members of the CSP who are experiencing financial difficulty.  The MBF aims to ensure that all members of the profession are aware of where they can go for help should they, or a colleague, experience difficulties, and to provide high quality support for those who seek assistance.

Where possible, we try to enable those we help to become independent and self-sufficient again, but also maintain longer term support for those not able to do this because of age, ill health or disability.

In 2018 we began to work with an external company – Auriga Services Ltd – and by working in partnership we are able to offer better help and support for our applicants.
