The CSP office will be closed between Christmas and New Year (25 December-2 January).  If you need urgent advice during this period visit "Advice for members during the holiday closure"

Comment: Twelfth night blues

The holiday is over and twelfth night has been and gone. Frontline managing editor Lynn Eaton looks forward to 2016.

Your Christmas tree is back in the loft (or at the recycling centre) and you will be thinking of the year ahead.

New year brings a new start. Holidays perhaps? Maybe a new job? Or even a house move?

We hope you’ll continue to find Frontline a valuable resource – whatever your plans. It’s the CSP members’ magazine and aims to give you insights into the physiotherapy world in the UK and beyond.

You’ll get an understanding of the CSP’s work on issues likely to impact on your profession and a flavour of what your colleagues and other CSP members are up to in support of physiotherapy.

This issue looks at the opportunities for allied health professionals in the NHS in England as part of the Five year forward view reforms.

We are seeing similar moves to improve services UK-wide, whether that’s called Transforming your care in Northern Ireland, Scotland’s 2020 vision or Designed for life in Wales.

The society continues to promote the value of physiotherapy and to help you, wherever you work, to provide the best quality care at a realistic price.

We know how much clinical issues drive you. Who’d have thought, for instance, that in 2016 we’d be tackling tuberculosis, a disease that all but died out in the 1960s?

Towards the end of the year, the CSP is holding a major European conference with the World Confederation for Physical Therapy bringing experts from across the continent to Liverpool.

So if you’re planning your year ahead, why not make 11-12 November a date?
