Claire Fordham, who has served as the CSP’s professional adviser leading on support worker development, will leave the CSP at the end of August.
Claire has worked in her role for four and a half years and during that time has developed numerous resources for Associate members, contributed to CSP policy development and has worked to influence for better access to education, training and career progression for physiotherapy support workers across the UK.
Leaving to take up a role with the North West London AHP Council as its AHP workforce transformation lead, Claire says of her time at the CSP and her new role: ‘It has been a privilege to serve the profession and particularly our valued support workforce during my time at the CSP.
The best part of my role has been meeting members of our support workforce, showcasing their contribution to the profession and amplifying their voices.
'Many of them have become friends and I will continue to cherish their guidance and support in my new role.
'Championing the role and value of the AHP support workforce will remain front and centre for me as an AHP workforce transformation lead.
Grow and thrive
'I truly believe part of the solution to the many workforce issues we face can be found by enabling our support workforce to grow and thrive.’
Claire’s CSP role is currently being recruited to and we anticipate a new officer will be in post by the autumn.
