Webinar to introduce updated principles of practice-based learning

Working in collaboration with the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT), the CSP has jointly led eight other AHP professional bodies to update the principles of practice-based learning.

The principles, which have been co-badged by 10 AHP professional bodies, aim to support you in creating quality and sustainable placement opportunities.

A webinar to introduce and discuss the updated principles is being jointly hosted, by all the professional bodies involved, on the RCOT website at 11am on Thursday 19 October.

Spaces to the webinar are limited and, because the event is open to members from all 10 AHP professional bodies, it is expected to be popular – so please do book your place as soon as possible.

What will happen at the webinar?

We will provide an update on the principles and how you can embed these in your practice.

You will come away understanding how the principles can support you, your team, and physiotherapy staff and AHPs of the future, so that they can have the best possible placement experiences – which serve as an introduction to their chosen careers.

The webinar is open to all CSP members and also to other AHP staff.

What are the principles?

The principles are designed to act as a catalyst for conversation. They structure thinking to support the thousands of practitioners, university programme teams and learners – our future workforce – who are delivering and experiencing practice-based learning opportunities.

By joining forces with other AHPs, and working together, the principles go even further in supporting multi-professional conversations and actions too.
