The CSP is sponsoring a new national award for innovation in rehabilitation.
The #RightToRehab award for innovation will be a category at next year’s Advancing Healthcare Awards.
Entries have just opened for the awards, which have seen CSP members win every year in categories from outstanding achievement by a support worker to the Chroma award for excellence in neurorehabilitation.
The #RightToRehab campaign seeks to end the postcode lottery of access to rehab, caused by provision being uneven across the four nations.
Theaward for rehab innovation will celebrate those eliminating health inequalities in access by delivering integrated, patient-centred rehabilitation close to home.
The service must have improved access to rehab for areas or populations that experienced barriers previously, and have the potential to be run in other parts of the UK.
Previous Advancing Healthcare Awards winner Suzanne Kennedy encouraged as many as possible to enter, saying:
The awards are great for physiotherapy, as we have so much to offer but we aren’t so good at letting others know
Another award winner, Emma Busby, added: ‘Awards are a way to share excellence and, on a personal level, they are good for your CV… It’s important to shout about the work we do.’
