The Scottish National Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Professionals Digital Network scooped the team of the year award at the Digital Health Awards 2018.

The award, in recognition of the network’s ‘great impact’, was collected by physiotherapist Lesley Holdsworth, Scottish government clinical lead for digital health and care, and Mark Fleming, Scottish government e-health clinical lead.
The network supports physiotherapists and other professionals across Scotland who are engaged in health-related digital activities.
Euan McComiskie, the CSP’s health informatics lead, said: ‘The network is made up of over 225 digitally-minded healthcare professionals and enables them to share ideas and best practice.
‘It is a continuing professional development opportunity because it can take people out of a local mind set and open their eyes to multi-professional regional, national and international work too.’
Dr Holdsworth said it was a ‘real accolade for our network to have gained UK-wide recognition for the value that its members are making to the digital agenda in Scotland.’
The network is chaired by Sandra Blades, the nursing e-health lead for Greater Glasgow and Clyde Health Board. Physiotherapist Laura Cameron, allied health professions e-health adviser for NHS National Services Scotland, is a co-vice chair.
