This is a conference organized by students, primarily for students, but also for academics and practicing physiotherapists. The theme of this year's event is Breaking Down Barriers, and a variety of interactive talks and practical workshops will take place which will help equip students and physiotherapists on their learning journey.

CSP Council member and consultant physio Rachael Moses will be opening the event, with a keynote speech from Elaine Miller. Fresh from her sell out show at this year's Edinburgh Fringe, stand-up comedian Elaine is also a pelvic health specialist and will bring her unique fusion of comedy and clinical knowledge to the event.

Also speaking at the event are Chris Seenan (GCU Senior Lecturer), Scott Rooney (physiotherapist and PhD student), Natalie Lambie (cardiothoracic rehab physio), Fiona Davie-Smith (amputee rehab physio), Jenna Hills (paediatric  physio) and Olivia McAvoy (physio for Hamilton Accies FC). In addition, there will be two pre-recorded lectures followed by live video calls from North America by Emily Scherb of The Circus Doc, an American aerial arts rehab service, and Kara Patterson of Canadian Neurorehab.

Alongside the lectures a series of workshops will take place from Hotpod Yoga, Physio Led Pilates, Scottish Ballet and Proactive Training Acupuncture. For each of the conference's four sessions delegates can pick between two lectures and one workshop.

CSP Scotland is sponsoring and exhibiting at the conference, along with Qualified Physio and Work the World (exhibitors) and The Mad HQ Ltd, Myga Yoga and Passion Planner (Sponsors).

All delegates will be eligible to enter the poster competition, with those coming in 1st, 2nd and 3rd place each receiving a cash prize sponsored by CSP Scotland.

Tickets for this year's Scottish Physiotherapy Student Conference cost £28 for students and £40 for non-students and can be bought online on the GCU Students' Association webpage.
