At VPUK 2020 Members came along (virtually) to a special session on influencing delivered by Laksh Thuraisingham, Cate Leighton and Hayley Price. The session aimed to showcase how influential Members can be in the profession at every level of the career journey.
You can watch a recording of the session, featuring presentations that highlight what can be achieved inspired by personal stories (click on the play button below):
Laksh talks about his career journey and how he influenced culture change in a team and on a ward with other MDT colleagues. He shares how he maximised ad hoc conversations and the knock-on effect of small-scale influencing building to a bigger impact.
Cate highlights how her senior leadership style has opened doors and how Members can think out of the box to achieve amazing things for the profession.
As Chair of the CSP South Central Regional Network, Hayley reflects on the difference that members can make for the benefit of the profession and patients.
