The CSP has today welcomed news that the NHS in England is to reopen self-referral for vaccination for physios, physio support workers and physio students by 19 April.
Self-referral had previously been suspended in England but an alliance of over 20 professional and care organisations, led by the CSP, objected.
Commenting CSP Policy Director Rob Yeldham said:
This is good news for anyone joining the workforce, starting their first placement or who has been unable to get vaccinated before
'It is especially important for people working outside the NHS where we know there have been some issues with accessing jabs in the past.'
The CSP is urging all members who are eligible for vaccination to take up the opportunity as soon as possible to protect themselves, patients, colleagues and friends and family.
Arrangements vary by country and crown dependency.
