This document sets out the expectations for CSP learning and development in:

  • Examination and assessment of the pelvic floor complex (PFC), per vagina (PV) and/or per ano-rectal (PR)
  • And/or interventional techniques PV and/or PR

The expectations are focused on physiotherapists establishing and demonstrating their competence in examination and assessment of the pelvic floor complex and/or physiotherapeutic management of dysfunction of the pelvic floor complex.

The CSP also recognises the importance of members maintaining and developing their knowledge and skills, once established, as an integral part of their continuing professional development (CPD).
