Event - CSP Cymru/Wales Board Community Rehabilitation Webinar 2020

On Wednesday 30th September, the CSP Cymru/Wales Board is hosting a Virtual Community Rehabilitation Webinar 2020.

Representatives from all health boards have been invited to present and share excellent practice related to Community Rehab.

In a country like Wales, that faces challenges posed by overpopulated multi-cultural cities and remote rural landscapes, we need to be equipped with a variety of innovative ideas and services that best meet the needs of our diverse population.

By sharing experiences, we aim to identify best practice and new models for community rehabilitation, so they can be mirrored throughout Wales.

Community Rehabilitation is key to providing long, healthier and happier lives, by ensuring the delivery of community services that transition seamlessly between acute hospital care and the community; keeping people well, not just treating them when they become ill.

Physiotherapists and Physiotherapy Support Workers have a vital role to play in the development and running of these services.

In a country like Wales, that faces challenges posed by overpopulated multi-cultural cities and remote rural landscapes, we need to be equipped with a variety of innovative ideas and services that best meet the needs of our diverse population.

Ruth Crowder, Chief Therapies Adviser for Wales, will open the webinar as the keynote Speaker, and will be discussing the AHP framework and its impact on primary care and community rehabilitation in Wales.

Other speakers confirmed (with more expected) are:

Christopher Smith, Community Teams Flintshire & Wrexham

Kirsty Jones, Physiotherapy Team Leader, Cardiff Community Resource Team

Huw Davies, Neuro Physiotherapy Team Leader, Cardiff & Vale Health Board

Nicola Perry Gower, Lead Pulmonary Rehab, Swansea Bay University Health Board

The webinar will take place between 6.30pm and 8.30pm, and capacity is strictly limited to 500. To reserve your space, please book your place here:  https://cspwalesvirtualcommunityrehabevent.eventbrite.co.uk
