Address health inequalities
Local healthcare systems have prioritised the importance of addressing health inequalities and the physiotherapy profession is well-placed to help achieve this. This event will help start your journey of service transformation to address health inequalities and will provide insight, advice and inspiration on:
- An introduction to health inequalities, their effect on patients, the system and wider society
- Understand how you can change and adapt services to address health inequalities
- How you can identify health inequalities using data
- How you can start to have an impact on health inequalities at individual, organisational and system level
- The coaching skills necessary to help deliver the changes that will have an impact on addressing health inequalities
Sessions and speakers
The morning session will include presentations from the CSP, including CEO John Cowman as well as speakers with experience and expertise in health inequalities.
The afternoon session will be a workshop providing an introduction to coaching skills for physiotherapists delivered by Sudhir Daya, which will be inspired by the points raised in addressing health inequalities during the morning session.
